  1. Take a medium saucepan a quarter full of water. Put the saucepan on the stove and let the water boil.   3. Get ready to deal with the finished product while the mixture is cooking. Take a heatproof bowl or any container you like (a plastic one if you want) and a cheesecloth. Put a double layer of cheesecloth on the top of the bowl or container, fixing it with the help of a string, tape, or an elastic.
  4. When the butter has completely melted, add weed. Turn the heat down and let it simmer. A tip here: this process usually takes 180 minutes. To know for sure that the substance is ready, check its top. It should not be watery but stiff and glossy.
  5. Pour the substance into the bowl through the cheesecloth. Be careful not to spill it. When the substance is in the bowl, carefully take off the cheesecloth and squeeze it.
  6. Cool the cannabutter for an hour. Then, put it in the fridge to let the THC content mix with the butter properly.
  7. When the cannabutter is solid, get it out of the fridge. Carefully lift it out of the bowl with the help of a knife. Place it upside down on a clean kitchen surface and scrape off the cooking water. Your cannabutter is ready. Bon appetit!
