Recipe: Homemade Cannabis Milk

This recipe for marijuana milk is very easy and does not require any special equipment or ingredients. While the majority of recipes show us how to infuse marijuana with oil or butter, it is worth mentioning that milk is also a great solvent for THC, the main active component of cannabis. Milk includes fat, and it is enough to let the cannabis fully mix with it. You are free to make as much cannabis milk as you want, but remember to use about 3.5 grams of marijuana per 1 cup of milk. This proportion is easy to stick to and guarantees a nice and steady high without any risks. Equipment Needed

Double boiler/crock pot/pan


Coffee strainer/cheesecloth



½ ounce marijuana

4 cups fresh milk


  1. Pour 4 cups of milk into a double boiler. A tip here: You can use a crock pot or a simple pan.
  2. Turn on medium heat and bring the milk to a simmer.
  3. Meanwhile, grind the marijuana.
  4. Once the milk starts simmering, add the ground marijuana.
  5. Simmer the milk with marijuana for an hour. A tip here: Do not let the mixture boil or even bubble, because it will make the milk lose its properties.
  6. Then, turn off the double boiler and let the marijuana milk cool down.
  7. Use a coffee strainer to separate the marijuana plants from the milk.
  8. Pour the marijuana-infused milk into a container.
  9. Place the container in the refrigerator until you decide to have some. A tip here: You can mark the container with the expiration date.

The so-called “cannamilk” is ready. You can drink it straight, mix it with cereal, use for any recipe you like, or enjoy it with some cookies.
