Recipe: Homemade Marijuana Coconut Oil

½ ounce marijuana (ground)

1 cup coconut oil

1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Set up the double boiler. A tip here: Pour the water into the bottom pan so that the top pan is a little bit above the water line.
  2. Bring the water in the double boiler to a boil.
  3. Once the water starts to boil, pour a cup of coconut oil into the top pan.
  4. When the coconut oil is melted, add 1 cup of water to it.
  5. Take a piece of cheesecloth that is about 6 by 12 inches.
  6. Prepare a 3-foot piece of twine.
  7. Tie a knot on one end of the twine.
  8. Now, take the 1/2 ounce of ground marijuana and place it in the center of the cheesecloth. Make sure that the weed is packed densely enough to fit the pan.
  9. Carefully roll up the cheesecloth.
  10. Tie the cheesecloth roll with twine. A tip here: Do not forget to run the end of the twine through the knot.
  11. Then, take the cheesecloth roll and put it in the oil and water mixture. A tip here: Use a metal spoon to drown the roll in the mixture.
  12. Cover the top pan with a lid. A tip here: Keep the double boiler at low heat. Remember that overboiling is bad for the mixture.
  13. You should boil the coconut mixture for about 4 hours. A tip here: Remember, the longer you boil it, the more potent it gets.

  15. Flip the roll over every time you check on the mixture.
  16. After 4 hours, remove the marijuana roll.
  17. Take a bowl and put the marijuana roll into it.
  18. Then, carefully squeeze the roll with the help of a metal spoon.Place the roll on a plate and let it cool down.
  19. Pour the coconut oil from the top pan into the bowl. A tip here: If the mixture is green, it is very good.When the marijuana roll has cooled down, try to squeeze it once again with your hands.
  20. Then, put the bowl in the refrigerator to let the oil separate from the water. A tip here: 2-3 hours are usually enough.
  21. When you notice that the mixture has divided into two layers, it means that it is ready. The top layer is oil, and the bottom one is water.
  22. Now you should make a small hole in the top layer and pour out all the water.
