A good morning starts with a cup of tea, but the perfect one certainly starts with weed tea. What can be better than infusing your breakfast with some of your favorite purple strains, for instance? Tea is a perfect raw material for infusion, especially if you do not feel like working too hard for too long. First of all, tea is remarkably easy to make. Secondly, and consequently, you do not have to waste a lot of time on preparations. Thirdly, there are dozens of ways to make it. Let us see what are the main rules of making cannabis-infused tea.
First of all, you need to know that there are a lot of weed-infused tea recipes. They include a different selection of ingredients and methods. However, they are not tied down to the types of strains you use. Some marijuana devotees choose sativa strains, while there are a lot of those, who prefer the indica ones, like, for instance, Purple Nepal or Purple Power strain. I especially enjoy making a nice cup of marijuana-infused tea with my personal favorite Purple Candy strain. This, however, is, of course, a matter of individual preference.
Nevertheless, the method you choose to make marijuana-infused tea is rather important and can have a rather significant influence on the effects you will experience. The first method is the simplest, which is a good thing for most people, but the tea made this way will not be very potent, which is a good thing only for some of us. If you are okay with not-too-potent-marijuana-infused-tea, you can brew your tea with the dried marijuana flowers. You will notice the difference in taste, smell and effects it provides. However, since THC, the main cannabis psychoactive component, is not water soluble, you should not set great store by such a tea.
Luckily, the is a second option open to us. Namely, we can use marijuana-infused fatty products. Depending on your tastes and inclinations, you may consider resorting to the use of such ingredients as coconut oil, butter or even dairy. This approach will yield you a rather potent drink that resembles latte or chai. This is the method we are going to use today to make an incredibly tasty and powerful marijuana tea latte.
The third method supposes the mixture of tea leaves and water that is heated with a tincture.
These time, we are going to make 6 oz of marijuana-infused tea, which is enough for 4 servings.
Sauce pot (with a lid)
Metal tea infuser
6 grams marijuana flowers (ground)/12 grams sugar/fan marijuana leaves (chopped)
2 cups hemp milk/any full-fat milk (with no less than 8 grams of fat per serving)
⅛ stick butter (softened)/¼ cup coconut oil (melted)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tablespoons honey
Tea leaves (dry)
1 cup water
Voila! Your marijuana tea latte is ready. Have a nice high and do not forget to use weed edibles responsibly. Also, for your safety, try your best to avoid people who deem adding milk to tea to be an act of heresy.
