Ingredients

Cake:

2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 ¾ cups sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons cocoa powder

2 large eggs (room temperature)

¾ cup cannabis-infused canola oil

¾ cup regular canola oil

1 ¼ cup buttermilk

2 teaspoons red food coloring

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 tablespoon white vinegar

Frosting:

16 ounces cream cheese

4 ounces butter (slightly softened)

3 cups powdered sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cover the bottoms of three pans with parchment paper. Put them aside for a while.
  3. Put all-purpose flour in a medium mixing bowl.
  4. Add sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder, red food coloring, and vanilla.
  5. Mix all the ingredients and put the bowl aside.
  6. In a separate mixing bowl, beat eggs slightly.
  7. Add cannabis-infused canola oil, regular canola oil, buttermilk, and white vinegar.
  8. Use a whisker to combine all the ingredients.
  9. Then, pour the oil and eggs mixture into the sugar and powder mixture.
  10. Mix all the ingredients until you get a smooth substance.
  11. Pour the mixture into the prepared pans.
  12. Place all three pans into the preheated oven.
  13. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes.
  14. Once the dough is ready, remove the pans from the oven.
  15. Let the cakes cool down for about 5 minutes.
  16. Then, turn the cakes out onto cooling racks.
  17. Meanwhile, use a mixer to beat butter.
  18. Add cream cheese and mix the ingredients well. A tip here: Remember to scrape the bowl so that there is no butter or cheese on the sides.
  19. Once you get a light mixture, add powdered sugar.
  20. When the sugar is incorporated with the mixture, beat for several minutes.
  21. Then, add vanilla.
  22. Mix the ingredients until completely combined.
  23. Immediately spread the frosting over the first cake layer.
  24. Cover it with the second layer and top it with frosting as well.
  25. Do the same with the third layer.
  26. Then, spread the frosting over the sides of the cake.
