Simple Honey THC Syrup

Making honey THC syrup does not require any great efforts or complex ingredients. That makes it incredibly easy to cook in your own kitchen. Always wanted to try a cannabis-infused cocktail? Want to have pancakes with marijuana syrup instead of the dull maple syrup for breakfast? This ridiculously simple honey THC syrup will definitely become one of your new favorite ways to enjoy a marijuana experience!

Honey THC Syrup

Ingesting cannabis can provide a much more potent and longer-lasting effect than smoking it, so it is crucially important to take special care of the quality of the products you consume. In order to be sure that you are consuming a proper dosage of the product with high-quality ingredients, make a great marijuana-infused sweetener for your dishes by yourself. The cannabis-infused syrup can be used for making fun cocktails, carbonated sodas, marinades, toppings for ice cream, and many other mixology crafts. It can also be used in baking and other recipes. You can add it to your tea, coffee, or juice, and you will be good to go for a couple of hours. Preparing this infused goody is as easy as making tea—perfect for true lazy cannabis lovers.

Ingredients

The potency of the recipe depends on the concentration of marijuana in your essential ingredient. The amount of cannabis in the recipe below is just a suggestion and can be modified according to your individual dosage. This process usually takes anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple of hours. The best way to find the proper dosage is to consume a little bit of an infused edible on an empty stomach. Make sure you are not driving or operating heavy machinery after the consumption.

  • Cheesecloth
  • Small or medium-sized saucepan
  • 1 lb of finely ground marijuana
  • Mason jars
  • Spoon
  • 5 lbs of honey

Preparation

1. Chop or grind your cannabis thoroughly and place it in the cheesecloth. Tie up into a bundle.

2. Take the saucepan and pour honey into it. Heat it at medium temperature.

3. Dip the previously prepared cheesecloth in the honey so that it is covered completely.

4. Simmer for 4 to 6 hours. In order to avoid destroying the THC while cooking the syrup with cannabis, make sure that your sweet mixture is not boiling or cooking at an excessively high temperature. When you see that your honey goody begins to boil, it means that it is time to turn off the heat and let it cool before applying heat once more. Do this as many times as you need.

5. After six hours of cooking, test the syrup for taste and strength. If necessary, continue to boil the cannabis-infused honey for a full 24 hours while maintaining low heat in order to have as much THC in the sweet mixture as you need. You can get even more of your infused topping by packing in extra flavor—add herbs, a pinch of ground peppercorns, or chopped ginger.

6. Once you are fully satisfied with the result, get the cheesecloth bundle out of the saucepan. Cool your honey and pour it into mason jars for storage. Put the jars somewhere far away in order to avoid a mass high—your siblings can easily mistake your THC honey for grandma's jam.
